Carol Markowicz

Carol is a screenwriter and director based in São Paulo, Brazil. She has written and directed two feature films and six short films selected to around 400 festivals such as Cannes, Locarno, Toronto, SXSW and San Sebastián and has won over 100 awards.

Carol is also co-creator of the Netflix series Nobody's Looking, winner of the International Emmy in 2020.

In 2021, Carol was invited to be a member of AMPAS, the Academy responsible for the Oscars.

In advertising, Carol has explored different genres such as humor, emotional drama and visual storytelling to great success.
